Overview

The Aviya is built with quality foams and a solid innerspring system.  They are no start-up either.  The Aviya mattress is made and owned by White Dove Mattress who has been around since 1922.  The Aviya brand launched in 2015.

This is  mattress that will work for most sleepers and all weights.

You will like Aviya Mattress if you:

  • Like to sleep cool – The Aviya uses poly foams and quilting foams in its comfort layers.  You don’t get a ton of sinkage or hug so you will sleep cooler.

  • You want a good value – The quality of the Aviya was impressive and its white glove delivered.  When compared to other innerspring companies like Simmons, you’re saving a lot of money here.

  • Sleep in multiple positions – Aviya is offered in 3 firmness choices so matter what your preferred position they have you covered.

  • Value good edge support – Aviya has a good foam encasement system that allows you to sleep close to the edge with no roll out of the bed feeling.
  • Are a heavier sleeper – When compared many online options Aviya is thicker and uses a solid coils system, making this a good option for heavier sleepers as well.

  • Like a traditional mattress feel – Although some people, reviewers and stores call anything with a pocketed coil system a “hybrid” I would personally classify this as more of a tradition mattress that uses a pocketed coils system to reduce motion transfer and increase pressure relief.

You might not like Aviya if you:

  • Want a foam mattress – Although Aviya is comfortable if you are a foam lover Aviya probably won’t turn you into a spring lover.

  • Want a super soft mattress – Although there is a soft option (we reviewed the luxury firm) I would say its  not going to be uber soft like some pillowtops can be.  But I think their firmness levels were designed with longevity in mind.  You get less sagging with medium to medium firm levels.

His and Hers – Firmness and Feel:

My thoughts (Ross)

Overall the Aviya is built very well.  The luxury firm is just that, its fairly firm so keep that in mind if you want something a little softer you should choose the soft version.

I sell several mattresses that are similar to Aviya in my store.  Many people will like this mattress and it will hold up very well against sag.  Personally I think I would like the plush a little more and I think the plush will work better for all sleeping positions.

Her thoughts (Kayla)

The Aviya was well built.  It was also nice having the guys come in and set it up for us, as well as taking the garbage with them.  For me I thought the luxury firm was great for stomach and back sleeping.  If you are a side sleeper I would look into getting the plush (softer) version.  Overall for more of a traditional feel it still has good motion reduction.  I think this is a good option for anyone looking for durability and a traditional mattress feel.

Firm-Firmness level: 8.5
Luxury Firm-Firmness level: 7
Softness-Firmness level: 5.5
1 Very Soft
5 Medium
10 Very Firm

Temperature:

The Aviya uses quilting foam and poly foam which all sleep cool.  In addition you don’t have a ton of sinkage so you have more of your body exposed to the air which generally helps you sleep cooler.  We did not and you should not have issues getting hot on the Aviya.

Adjustable Base Performance:

The Aviya will work on an adjustable base but there will be some limitations.  You will not be able to sit straight up and down without possibly messing the mattress up over time from bending it over and over.   However if you’re looking to just elevate a smaller amount to reduce acid reflux or snoring it will work just fine.
